"Facing an unconvincing economic recovery, workers are nonetheless extending their new commitment to retirement savings both inside and outside their workplace retirement plans. 401(k) and other retirement savings are on the way up again. Feeling vulnerable and out of time, older workers especially are funding their 401(k)s more generously.... Participants are also finding the overall benefits landscape more difficult to navigate this year than last with perceived complexity up and quality of information down, a striking reversal of historic experience.
